  You are the worst dr ever, You are abusive and discriminatory. I’d give you minus 5 stars if could. Thanx for the handout about how you discriminate people and don’t care about real health and prevention of illnesses. Study instead of trying to earn government pay outs. Total scum!

  I brought all of my children here since birth almost 21 years ago. Dr. Vangelderen and Donna were both extremely good to my husband and I and our children. All the staff were also extremely kind with the exception of front office that he should be more aware of. Over the years we were treated very rudely by Amy at the front office. She was never friendly to us in person or on the phone when we called for information. She was also unfriendly to my children. I can remember my now 20 year old daughter being yelled at for taking a safety pop from the basket before her appointment after waiting in the waiting room almost an hour for her appointment. When my husband switched insurance a year and a half ago thinking that they took the insurance we got turned away the very day of my daughters appointment. They refused to see her. We had Priority Health Insurance which popped up on the website as an insurance they accepted. Apparently it hadn't been updated and they were only taking it if it was before that time. We were treated rudely in front of other patients and left. For the record, my husband is a dentist and also knows very well how important it is to have, not only a front office that is capable at their job, but also courteous. When the year was up I asked him to switch us back to BCBS to see Dr. Vangelderen again. He agreed. We again got treated rudely by Amy in the front office. I have no desire to return there now, but after begging on the phone to her, I decided to finally voice my feelings in hopes of Dr. Vangelderen seeing it and being aware of it. No matter how we got treated, I have always told people what a good and kind doctor he was to my children and also Donna. My husband has had people leave his office for these same reasons and always regretted no one coming to him. Thank you for your time.

  We absolutely love Children's Medical Group and Dr. VanGelderen. We've never waited more than 10 minutes for our children to be seen. All of the staff is friendly and respectful. They are very knowledgeable and treat my kids so well. And best of all, if your child is sick, they can get you in right away that day (and they're open on Saturdays). If you're in the Bay City area, this is the best place for your children to be seen.

  The man probably saved my life. Very seldom do you find a physician of this quality in a small community like bay city. Could not recommend more.
