- David Marino Added January 02, 2023★ ★ ★ ★ ★I had an accident they assest my claim and approved it in a couple of days they also let me pay off my excess which is wonderful and also i shopped around for anything that's cheaper and i couldn't find any insurance company that came even close to the quote that was given to me by GIO. I think that all Australia's should change there policy and go to GIO. Good work for looking after the poor GIO I'm proud that a company like yourself is looking after people like me. One more thing my car broke down i was very upset i rang GIO and not only did they get me back on the road but they gave me a $100 gift card all because i was having a bad day they told me with this gift card hopefully it will brighten my day. Again thank you to GIO for making me feel human again

- R C Added December 21, 2022★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆WARNING. THIS COMPANY IS ALL TALK AND HAS NOTHING SPECIAL TO OFFER. We've had several policies with GIO going back 25 years or more. I am about to cancel any policies I have left with them. Fine when taking your money and just like any other insurance company when processing a straight forward claim. When it comes to something slightly complex they fight tooth and nail to hide behind any exclusion possible and deny a claim. Regardless of our unquestioning loyalty to them over decades, they wasted hours of our time arguing over petty points despite our repairer even writing a professional report in our favor. Don't bother pointing out one's loyalty as a special consideration. They'll politely spit in your face.
